The "Hannah Arendt Denkraum" is being organised by a team of political scientists, philosophers and academics (Hannah Arendt Denkraum e. V)

Wolfgang Heuer
Born in 1949, private university lecturer at Free University Berlin.
From 1979 till 1984 tutor at German Development Services, guest lecturer in Brazil, various publications about Hannah Arendt, including the Rowohlt monograph in 1987, responsible editor of international Hannah Arendt Newsletter http://www.hannaharendt.net, finally co-organizer of the conference "Hannah Arendt and Her Arts" at Literarisches Colloquium Berlin Wannsee, May 2005.

Sebastian Hefti
Born in 1956 in Bogotà / Columbia, studied philosophy, history and semiotics in Zurich and Berlin; established "Zürcher Volksuni" in 1983; organized numerous political and cultural campaigns; curated reading seminars of political sciences; since 1983 managing director of the urban ecologists' foundation "Stiftung PONTE Projektsfonds"; since 1996 president of "Verein politikinitiativen", and until 2001 project management of the international political and cultural citizen's forum "Hannah Arendt Tage Zurich"; from 2000 till spring 2005 secretary-general of the German Swiss PEN centre; since 1998 independently self-employed business in political-cultural public relations affairs and journalism; since 2004 communication responsible in the board of directors of the co-operative society for building and housing "KraftWerk1" Zurich; "Corresponding Editor" of the "Hannah Arendt Newsletter".

Katharina Kaiser
Born in 1947, studied arts, cultural sciences and pedagogy in Münster and Berlin, principal of the Communal Gallery HAUS am KLEISTPARK, Berlin; curator of numerous exhibitions in contemporary fine arts, photography and exhibitions in history of civilisation with focus on "ways of remembrance"; editor of various catalogues; publications about conceptions, effects and reception of exhibitions, monuments and fine arts in public.

Hermann Pfütze
Born in 1941; studied philosophy, sociologie and religious sciences in Berlin, Tübingen, and Münster. From 1972 professor of sociology at Alice-Salomon Fachhochschule. From 1991 chairman of the selection committee of the Joachim Tiburtius Award.
Recent publication: Form, Ursprung und Gegenwart der Kunst. Suhrkamp 1999. Numerous treatises in sociology, social work and art; since 1989 regularly art reviews and essays in "Kunstforum international". From 1999 till 2002 president of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Ästhetik; organization of the DGA conference "Art and Democracy" in July 2002 at the Akademie der Künste Berlin.

Peter Funken
Born in 1954, has worked in Berlin since 1983 as a curator, journalist in arts, and author. From 2002 till 2004 senior consultant at the Nordeuropäische Akademie für Kunst und Architektur, Schwerin, Germany. Numerous publications in: Kunstforum-International, Artefaktum Antwerpen, Neue Bildende Kunst Berlin, Artforum New York. Curatorial work / exhibitions: "MaschinenMenschen", "Faktor Arbeit", "Der Fleck in Geschichte und Gegenwart", "Polnische Avantgarde 1930 - 1990", "Jetzt-lächeln! Aspekte der Studiofotografie am Beispiel Mathesie", "Dia, Slide, Transparancy", etc.
